Advanced Orchestra

Advanced Orchestra is consisted of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who are demonstrating an advanced level of string playing. Advanced techniques of bowing, fingering, third position, and tone production are pursued through the study of music ranging from Early Baroque through contemporary styles. The course helps students develop technical, ensemble, and disciplinary skills necessary for refined rehearsal and performance both in and out of school.
